Health insurer

We have contracts with all health insurers in the Netherlands, so all obstetric care, both home birth and hospital birth with a medical indication, is included in the basic package and is fully reimbursed.

Your concern Midwives Lelystad becomes so 100% reimbursed by all health insurers in the Netherlands and will not be at the expense of your deductible.

If you are newly pregnant or want to become pregnant, it is worth comparing health insurers to find the best option for you. On the websites of the Consumers Association and De Verloskundige.nl you can see what is reimbursed and whether you need additional insurance. Pay particular attention to the reimbursements for the personal contribution for maternity care, prenatal screening, physiotherapy and contraception. There is also a personal contribution if you want to give birth in the hospital, the so-called outpatient birth. Also check how high your deductible is.

Contraception for women aged 21 and above is not reimbursed by basic insurance. If you have additional insurance, you will receive compensation. However, keep in mind that the costs may have to be paid from your deductible, so you may still receive an invoice from your health insurance. Contact your health insurer for more information about any personal contributions, the amount of the reimbursement and your deductible.

Fun ultrasounds are not reimbursed by the health insurer.
